I can't even stop crying to write this review. I heard about this movie from a comic on tiktok about how FTM people need to get pelvic exams even if it's dysphoric. The last time I went to the obgyn I refused one so I wanted to see what about this movie changed their mind... holy shit.
I have never been more motivated to go to the pussy doctor in my LIFE! Breast and ovarian cancer run VERY STRONG in my family, like its not a matter of if but when, so while watching the movie I was basically crying the entire time. Also, the fact that I have never interacted or seen any older trans people before got me kind of emotional, and the fact that they transitioned later in life, like these people had children, married, divorced, and remarried before they even transitioned. It makes me feel like I have so much more time than I thought originally. In the media, being trans is seen as a concept of the younger generation, when it been around since before any of our times. I think that this film should be a required watch for all queer people, it just shows how far we gotten since then. I still need to schedule my doctors appointment.
