Superman made his first debut in Action Comics no.1 created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in April 18th, 1938. Since then, he has lived as the embodiment of the "American Way", becoming a cultural icon.
Superman has had many different interpretations since his inception. The first Superman to be brought to the silver screen was in 1948 with Kirk Alyn starting as Superman. The first feature film was "Superman and the Mole Men", an almost hour long B-movie screened in 1951 to promote the Superman TV Series airing at the same time starring George Reeves. The Christopher Reeve movies launched Superman into the mainstream and spurred a 4 movie collection starring
