Pretty Odd

Panic! at The Disco
Pretty Odd album art

Suprisingly, I only listened to this album for the first time recently. I grew up with P!ATD but only really listened to Death of a Bachelor, Too Young to Live Too Rare to Die, and afycso. I stopped listening after Pray for the Wicked for obvious reasons. I got most of my taste from my sister, and they never listened to Pretty odd, so I didn't know anything about it, but if you told me an emo band made a folksy rock 'n' roll type album I would have been like "wtfreak."

I glad I didn't listen to it back then because I don't think I would have been able to appreciate it as much. My taste im music has grown over the years pretty exponentially since I listen to so much music now. I want to listen to more folk, one of my friends has a large collection of folk albums so I've been getting recommendations from her. I need to get a list(like most things) together to actually organize myself and not just pick albums randomly cause it works sometimes, but I really hate to be left scrambling for some artist who I don't know who's music I can listen to.

I picked this album back when you couldn't have duplicate albums in the CD ring, not that I would've chosen a different album at the time (I might've now, but I probably would every month), nut it felt wrong at the time to potentially take it from someone else who might've had an actual connection to it growing up like I have with other albums of that era. But now that's not a problem so I'm not going to worry about it!
