I have a lot of confusion with this album, nothing bad!! I love this album, however, I can't tell if I like this album better that their next album "Goodbye Blues" or not. I think that, objectively speaking... Goodbye blues is better in a lot of ways, specifically how more songs feature Greta as the main vocalist, how her voice sounds more mature and darker rather than her bright and innocent tone from this album, and how it's better produced, having met and worked with Kevin Augunas who worked very well with the band. I really do think that Goodbye Blues is just a great progression of the band's skill and creativity.
However, all that to say that I think I like the concept of this one more??? I just think its so much more out there and, dare I say a little campy? (BUT LIKE NOT TOO MUCH, just like for the genre or time or WHATEVER!! I PROBABLY MEAN QUIRKY BUT STFU!) But yes I picked this one over Goodbye Blues even though Goodbye Blues is on the repeat list rn and Like Vines isn't. I just like a little story I can get into okay??? is that a crime??????
