Shinsou has had to fight tooth and nail his entire life just to get a chance. Eraserhead gives him that chance, and so begins the fight for Shinsou’s transfer into the hero course.

Shinsou Hitoshi had a bit of a problem, and that problem was that he’d gotten attached to Aizawa Shouta. And somewhere along the line had started seeing him as a parental figure, a replacement for all the foster home parents who’d passed him along and never quite done their job.

Hitoshi is thankful for his mask, because that means Kaminari isn't able to see his is jaw drop or hear him gasp softly, and the blonde is too busy smiling at him bright enough to blind him to see Hitoshi shifting to subtly grab at his arm that has started burning in a way that definitely isn't his imagination.
But Hitoshi doesn't need a burning soulmark, and he doesn't need fate, because even without that stupid mark he's sure he would have been immediately besotted by that bright smile, kind words, and easy acceptance. The only thing the burning mark tells him is that he's justified in feeling his heart race as his palms start to sweat.
