And Your Name is Jonah is a movie about a young boy who is deaf who was misdiagnosed as intellectually disabled. Once he finally returns home from the ward, his family struggles to understand him. This movie showcases the struggles of hearing people trying to navigate the deaf world.

This movie is definitely outdated and the production was nothing stellar, but the issues presented in this movie are meant to inform hearing people of the difficulties that deaf people face growing up, and it does a good job of that.
